Website use
Keep your first request practical.
The website is designed to help people learn about Generations of Hope, explore programs, and request a consultation. Please do not submit urgent information, medical emergencies, detailed health histories, diagnoses, insurance numbers, or another person’s private information through the website.
Program materials are skills-building resources. Individual programs should clearly identify whether they are education, coaching, support programming, or psychotherapy, and may have different participation requirements.
Group participation
Keep group content in group
Personal stories, identifying details, discussions, exercises, disclosures, and other information shared by participants should remain confidential. If you discuss your own experience, do not identify another participant.
No recording or sharing
Do not audio-record, video-record, photograph, screenshot, livestream, or capture a session or participant without prior permission from Generations of Hope and the affected participant or participants.
Use respectful conduct
Treat participants with dignity and respect. Avoid gossip, harassment, threats, discrimination, intimidation, and discussion of members outside the group. Respect boundaries if you encounter a member elsewhere.
Important limits
Group confidentiality is a shared responsibility—not an absolute guarantee.
Generations of Hope and its facilitators take reasonable steps to protect confidentiality as required by applicable law, professional standards, and applicable privacy practices. Other group members are not professional healthcare providers and are not individually bound by HIPAA merely because they participate. Generations of Hope cannot control what another participant does after leaving group.
Confidentiality is not absolute. A facilitator may be required or permitted to disclose information when required or authorized by law, including suspected abuse or neglect, serious or imminent risk of harm, court orders, or other applicable legal exceptions.
